some wrapping paper designs and techniques I created for Homemade London’s “Crackers, Gift Tags and wrapping paper making workshop!” phhwwoaarr.
A pic of our wreath was taken at the Ideal home show and popped on Homemade London’s twitter. Looks ruddy lovely, hope it looks just as lovely in the shop window!
Along with that we have also began to design (and create) our Christmas window! Heres an initial (and pretty awful) sketch of the concept of our window- A GIANT COLOURFUL wreath.
Recently I’ve been interning at Homemade London: http://www.homemadelondon.com
Its a lovely company that create a massive variety of craft events and workshops for people of every age! Me and one of the other interns (Amy) began the challenge of creating wrapping paper and tags out of corks. Here are some of my initial trials.
A Couple More Snaps (including 9ft of bunting!)
Thanks Mum for helping with that amazing veggie jelly! All you need is cornflour, water and milk!
So today was the first anniversary of our store and the fellow lushettes let me run with a “Mad Hatters Tea Party” idea and do up the place as we launched our crimbo range and had a good old knees up for our birthday! After a stressful couple of days on my sewing machine I think it was a great success and all the hard work everyone put in really paid off…..even if we were slightly sweaty in our costumes!
It was great to get creative once again and actually take on some responsibility so thanks to Shantelle and Helena for giving me the go ahead! Come on Lush design, give us a job!
Just around the corner is Karmarama’s “White Ribbon Alliance” charity auction that I was asked to donate a piece for! Its for a great cause promoting safe motherhood around the world! Works include that of “Rob Ryan,” “Al Murphy” and “Rankin” as well as loads of up and coming designers and artists! So invest in the future and come along on October 6th!
